WOOT! Just found out my MIL is taking me and Cory to see Wicked next Tuesday night! I have been dying to see it for about 3 years now! Yay!
In unrelated news this weekend should be fun: having friendsies over for hot tubbing tomorrow night, going out of town to watch my cousin graduate from Cal Poly! I am taking Monday off work (yay 5 day weekend) and then it’s back to work Tuesday and the play Tuesday night.
Just have to do some serious planning for my meals while I am on the road, but it shouldn’t be too hard. (me hopes!)

Day 1 of 21
Started my day off with a giant salad with lemon juice and a spritz of olive oil and a size of grilled chicken breast when I went to meet a friend. Ate a plate of raw zucchini and baby carrots plus a half cup of southwest egg-whites and a third cup of fresh salsa. Planning on having more chicken and stir fry veggies in a bit.
My best friend just told me the other day about a study done on eating only in an 8 hour window each day and fasting the other 16 hours and she has lost 10 lbs in a week and a half. So I figure I have nothing to lose by trying it out. Today is only the second day and I have chosen to eat between 11 am and 7 pm. I would definitely say it is harder in the mornings. At night I just have to keep myself from wandering into the kitchen because I am bored. I almost always eat dinner before 7 anyways, but would catch myself munching on things until after 9 sometimes out of pure boredom.
I am hoping that this intermittent fasting doesn’t screw up my metabolism, but if I am not getting the results I want, I probably won’t stick with this eating schedule too long. I like eating right when I wake up because I have been doing it for the past 4 years, but my friend promised it didn’t take her long to get used to the schedule. Wish me luck! I’ll be walking around in a skimpy bikini in 3 weeks so I can use it ;)

About sums up how I have been feeling this whole week. After being sore from LAST Wednesday’s evening workout. Being exhausted from my busy weekend. Allergy attack of the year award. Girl pains and indigestion for the past 2 days. I have been a grumpy and uncomfortable girl.
But tonight was the night I had to do some form of exercise, so I worked out at home and did a HIIT with all jump squats and lunges. My legs felt amazing after! Glad I did it, but my stomach is still killing me. Tomorrow I kick off my 3 week cutting diet of lean protein (egg whites, tuna, chicken breast) and green veggies for every meal. Really excited and I am positive my body will appreciate me fueling it with healthier food than I have been the past few days. I may or may not have had Taco Bell the other night :/
I stocked my fridge with chicken and eggs and fresh and frozen veggies so I am always prepared for times when I am in a hurry. Feeling a little less lame. Wishing I had a bottle of pepto to chug, really not in the mood to get dressed and go back to the store.
amazing weekend!
just had a seriously awesome weekend, but have not worked out since ummmmm….thursday? nope, wednesday. i seriously don’t think my body has recovered at all (my neck is killing me and i’m not sure why) my whole body is exhausted from all the party planning/prepping/cleaning/cooking/decorating i have done since thursday morning. now all the parties are over…..i can now relax and hopefully rest my neck enough to get in a workout tomorrow. obviously i am so tired i can’t use capital letters lol. going to bed now. its going to take some time to recover from this weekend. next week starts my cutting phase before vacation and i just realized im going out of town for my cousin’s graduation and it is going to be really hard to be gone two nights on this diet. ugh. more planning i guess. good night little fitblrs. xox
Motorcycle rally
outside my house tonight….I live off of a really busy road and apparently it must be motorcycle weather because there have been noisy bikes zooming by all night.
Woke up late
So, I woke up 10 mins before I wanted to be at the gym this morning to take a Pilates class…..so I’ll be doing insanity instead. Last night I did a WOD I made up at the gym. It consisted of 3 rounds, first round 21 reps, second round 15 reps, and third round 9 reps and there were 2 exercises: overhead squats (with 30# BB because I am really trying to work on my form, this exercise really seems to strain my lower back if I am not paying 100 percent attention to my form) and the second exercise was good mornings (45# BB) It was an awesome workout, it took me just over 7 minutes :) Still trying to learn how to push myself while working out alone. It is so easy to slack off, it makes me miss crossfit. It also makes me wish I had even a single friend who liked working out. Oh well, can’t let that get in the way of my goals for myself.

Welp, I put in an exhausting 12 hours of work this week (yesterday and today) and now it is my four day weekend :)
In other news; I am extremely bloated today, and I have been hydrating a ton. Getting ready to go to the gym and work these sore muscles.
