Day 1 of 21
Started my day off with a giant salad with lemon juice and a spritz of olive oil and a size of grilled chicken breast when I went to meet a friend. Ate a plate of raw zucchini and baby carrots plus a half cup of southwest egg-whites and a third cup of fresh salsa. Planning on having more chicken and stir fry veggies in a bit.
My best friend just told me the other day about a study done on eating only in an 8 hour window each day and fasting the other 16 hours and she has lost 10 lbs in a week and a half. So I figure I have nothing to lose by trying it out. Today is only the second day and I have chosen to eat between 11 am and 7 pm. I would definitely say it is harder in the mornings. At night I just have to keep myself from wandering into the kitchen because I am bored. I almost always eat dinner before 7 anyways, but would catch myself munching on things until after 9 sometimes out of pure boredom.
I am hoping that this intermittent fasting doesn’t screw up my metabolism, but if I am not getting the results I want, I probably won’t stick with this eating schedule too long. I like eating right when I wake up because I have been doing it for the past 4 years, but my friend promised it didn’t take her long to get used to the schedule. Wish me luck! I’ll be walking around in a skimpy bikini in 3 weeks so I can use it ;)
blah…..
About sums up how I have been feeling this whole week. After being sore from LAST Wednesday’s evening workout. Being exhausted from my busy weekend. Allergy attack of the year award. Girl pains and indigestion for the past 2 days. I have been a grumpy and uncomfortable girl.
But tonight was the night I had to do some form of exercise, so I worked out at home and did a HIIT with all jump squats and lunges. My legs felt amazing after! Glad I did it, but my stomach is still killing me. Tomorrow I kick off my 3 week cutting diet of lean protein (egg whites, tuna, chicken breast) and green veggies for every meal. Really excited and I am positive my body will appreciate me fueling it with healthier food than I have been the past few days. I may or may not have had Taco Bell the other night :/
I stocked my fridge with chicken and eggs and fresh and frozen veggies so I am always prepared for times when I am in a hurry. Feeling a little less lame. Wishing I had a bottle of pepto to chug, really not in the mood to get dressed and go back to the store.
5 weeks from today
I will be getting on a plane to go on a 9 day vacation in Florida!!! I will continue to eat my greek yogurt, 1 fruit a day, and scheduled cheat meals for the next two weeks. Then I will be switching things up, from whole eggs to egg whites, green veggies, tuna, and plain chicken breast for the remaining 3 weeks. I will probably stick with one cheat meal for a week for those 3 weeks. I can’t wait to push my body and see what kind of results I can achieve. This will be my first true “cut” diet.
Now I just need to find a better sunless tanning lotion. Any suggestions? I HATE the smell of jergens so much! And I haven’t had that great a luck with the spray tans…too orange/splotchy/fades too quickly. I need something good that I can use before and during my vacation.
HIIT me baby one more time
Just finished a 22 min HIIT with all plyo exercises. So sweaty. Not sure my ankle liked all the jumping.
Started a new workout routine found here: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/body-transformation-clean-eating-made-her-a-model.html Today is day 8 on the plan, going strong, even did cardio on 2 of my 3 rest days WIN!
Not using her diet, I eat paleo about 80% of the time except when I’m PMSing, but I do eat NF greek yogurt and sometimes beans…had a HUGE spinach salad with egg, cucumber, avocado, grilled chicken before my workout. Having a cheat sugar free chocolate pudding (it’s a cheat because it’s not paleo friendly) with added whey protein powder (also not paleo). Will be back with the eggs and broccoli for breakfast tomorrow morning.
Have a great evening all!!
Grab your balls workout lol. Wrote out the workout w/modifications (since I don’t have a ball like this) and can’t wait to get my sweat on tomorrow.
Today was spent floating in the pool and cooking/eating with my parents. Nice day, but I am definitely regretting avoiding my workout….still trying to get back into my workout/diet routine after my vacation to Florida. Why is it so hard to get up and start moving again?
